Susan Rodgers’ first novel A Certain Kind of Freedom was a finalist in the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia Atlantic Writing Awards for unpublished manuscripts. She recently completed the first three books of her series Drifters and is diligently plotting a fourth. She is also writing another novel, Seasmoke. An independent filmmaker as well as writer, Susan is currently shooting her first feature documentary, The Healing Place. Owner/Operator of Bluemountain Entertainment and Bended Branch Pictures, she is a graduate of Vancouver Film School. Susan won four awards for her period short film Bobby's Peace, has produced another period short, Dreamers, and recently shot her first comedy short, The New Neighbours. Formerly a museum curator, Susan lives with her partner Stephen and her cat Oliver in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, Canada, and makes frequent trips to Vancouver to visit her singer/songwriter/barista son Christopher.
