Poem

Paradox
by Dev Pillai (New Bombay, India)

Picture
Tonight I take the time chariot back,
and find you and me still there,
trapped in togetherness,
indulging in isolation.

United in a circle of warmth,
spawned out of making love,
sealing every kiss, every embrace,
rubbing souls, locking every touch.

Like every hypnotic paradox gives in to reality,
like every star's moment,
such were we,

incomplete yet content.

Even in silence we spoke,
in pitch darkness we saw,
connected on the same plane,
leading different lives.

(Dedicated to Debarati Ghosh)
