Profile

Award winning international author Carrie King, heralded "the British Mark Twain" by a San Francisco Chronicle reviewer, was born into a middle-class English family in Bedfordshire. Until she married, she had only lived in beautiful countryside, her love of which has always influenced and shaped her writing. Her children’s adventure novel, (The Life in the Wood with) Joni-Pip, was compared to Treasure Island and Alice in Wonderland in The American Chronicle. Joni-Pip is now in the hands of Line One Films. Carrie King is a widow with three daughters.
